Hi, I’m Jason. Creator of WithinMVMNT

Sometime back in 2007, I started going to the gym. About a year later, I got into martial arts.

That’s where I found out how incredibly immobile I was. My friends in jiu-jitsu would roll me around like a 2×4.

I stepped into my first yoga class that same year. Seeking help with my flexibility. And what I got was a whole lot more!

I learned the importance of moving your body. Through its ranges of motion. While training stability, balance, and strengthening those deep internal muscles.

I’ve suffered many injuries through extreme sports and martial arts. I’ve torn my acl in my right knee. As well as my ATFL and Calcaneofibular ligament in my left foot.

Through all of the high impact BS I put myself through, I still feel incredible. My posture is impeccable (I’ve been told). And I move better than ever. I certainly don’t feel like I’m aging in a bad way. Despite the numerous injuries. And wayyy too much time sitting at a desk.

My fitness has definitely changed over the years. I got pretty big into weightlifting early on. Now, I love training skills like the handstand. And focus on bodyweight fitness.

I love spicy food, snowboarding, biking, hiking, running, and working out. Obviously practicing handstands. I wind down by playing my guitar or reading a book.

I founded WithinMVMNT to help others improve how they move and feel in their bodies. And learn cool skills like handstands.

Finally, the most important part.

Remember that fitness is something that can be fun. It doesn’t have to be repetitive burpees or squats at the gym. Developing challenging skills will keep you engaged. And wanting to progress more.
