Yoga For Long Lasting In Bed: Can It Help Sexual Performance?

By Jason Jacques

There’s nothing worse than getting excited with your partner. Rolling around in the sheets. Ripping off their clothes. Becoming union with them in euphoria and passion… only to pop off faster than a champaign bottle. 🤦‍♂️

And while it may have been short and sweet–you find yourself disappointed. And wishing you could last longer in bed.

Ever wonder if yoga could help improve your sex life?

According to research, yoga can be an effective treatment for Premature Ejaculation (PE). In that particular study, ALL 38 yoga prescribed subjects reported improvements in Premature Ejaculation. That’s better than the studies other group prescribed fuoxetine, an SSRI. Of which, 25 out of 30 patients reported improvements in PE. Yoga proved to be the superior treatment option for improving Premature Ejaculation.

Not to mention, the enhanced mobility and strength will help you move better and feel more confident in the bedroom.

Sex therapist Gracie Landes, LMFT, CST, was quoted in Men’s Health about yoga to improve male sexual performance:

Because yoga helps people develop a sense of calmness, strength, stamina, agility, knowledge of their own bodies, and the ability to remain in the present moment, and make small adjustments, it can greatly enhance sexual performance and confidence, regardless of which asana (poses) are practiced.

BEFORE we talk about yoga for longer lasting in bed, let’s get the mindset right.

Yoga For Long Lasting In Bed: Start With The 3 C’s…

Yoga is an amazing tool for better sex. However, EARTH SHATTERING sexual experiences start with getting Confidence, Chemistry, and Communication right.

Confidence is about feeling secure in your sexual energy. It’s the ability to take the lead and to give yourself openly. You don’t care if the lights are on or off. You’re confident with what you’re working with.

Chemistry is when bodies combine in ultimate passion and euphoria. When you embrace your partner. Expressing through words and physical touch just how much you desire them. Actually feeling it and sharing those feelings with them. Making it known how sexy they are. And just how good they make you feel. It’s magic when both partners feel and express desire for each other.

Which brings us to Communication. Everything is about communication. Expressing your confidence requires communication. Chemistry with a partner requires communication. Communication is allowing yourself to be open and vulnerable. So you can express your desires and allow your partner to open up with theirs.

Yoga will help improve sexual function and stamina. But the above components are absolutely required for great sex. Remember the 3 C’s. Combined with a yoga practice, you’ll be lasting longer and experiencing the best sex of your life!

Yoga for Lasting Longer in Bed: Practice Regularly For Results

Finally, let’s talk about how to practice yoga for longer lasting in bed.

When it comes to yoga for sex, we’ll be focusing on the physical practice of this lifestyle practice. The components of the 8-Limbs of Yoga specifically are the Asana (those are the poses) and Pranayama (that’s the breath).

A mindfulness practice, Yoga does a great job of getting you out of your head. This disciplined practice allows you to control your thoughts and direct your energy into the present moment.

The magic is in the controlled breath (pranayama) as you through poses (asana). The practice teaches you patience and endurance. Allowing you to hold positions longer while maintaining a calm mind. As well as guiding your body through functional movements and forcing you to remain calm and present in the moment.

This will help you with confidence and allow you to be more free to express yourself. Without worrying about not lasting long enough or underperforming!

Rather, you find yourself present and fully enjoying the experience in union with your partner.

Yoga Must Become A Lifestyle Practice

If you want better sexual function and to last longer in bed through yoga, you need to practice often.
